Recipe For A Garlic Soup Broth Against Flu And Colds
- 2 heads of garlic
- Freshly ground pepper and Kosher salt (to taste)
- 1 handful of herbs (e.g., sage, parsley and/or cilantro)
- 2 tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil
Take one of the garlic cloves, cut it horizontally and put it aside. Take the second one and separate the cloves. Peel them and crush them. In a big saucepan, add the olive oil.
Heat it at medium temperature and add the crushed garlic cloves. Cook them until they are soft and golden brown in color. Next, add 2 quarts of water and let it boil. Add the herbs and the other garlic head and let it simmer for 40 minutes until the broth is reduced by half.
