Doctor Songtao Shi from National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial research, found that the baby teeth contain one or two dozen valuable stem cells which can helpe in treatment of different diseases in a letter time.
According to the experts, this steam cells which was found in the baby teeth have impact on the brain, the heart, the pancreas, and other organs. This steam cells are found in baby teeth from kids between 7 and 8 years, while the adult teeth contains totally different steam cells.
Doctor Shi and his team found that the baby teeth can safe life! In other words, if you can’t banking your baby’s cord blood for stem cells, you can do by saving the child’s baby teeth.
The steam cells can be found in the dental pulp in the tooth and can regenerate into neurons, bone, and cartilage, or even into cardiac cells. They can help in treatment of different diseases, for example type I diabetes, where the steam cells can be easily converted into pancreatic cells which can produce insulin.
The steam cells must have appropriate treatment in order not to die. In maximum 48 hours of being frozen, the dental pulp needs an adequate blood supply.
