Earache is a really painful experience. It can be caused as a result of a bacterial infection in the ear, or due to some other issue like a flu, a cold, or an allergy.
The pain in the ear usually disappears without a medical treatment. Luckily, there are available some natural ways to quickly relieve the pain:
It has potent antimicrobial, antiviral, and antibacterial properties. You can prepare garlic-infused oil, or just stick a clove of garlic in the ear.
It’s very easy to prepare the garlic oil. You just need to add some cloves of fresh garlic in olive oil. Wait 20 minutes, strain it and remove the garlic. Drop several drops of the oil in your painful ear.
Onion has ability to treat earache. Just slice onion in two pieces, remove the inner rings and heat them in the oven at 300ºF.
When they start to steam, you need to remove them from the oven. Wrap them in a towel and place it onto the infected ear.
As we mentioned before, bacteria infection is one of the most common reasons for earache. According to the Swedish researchers, the honey can provide better results in fighting bacteria, then the antibiotics. You can try to pour a few drops of honey in the painful ear.
Heat 1/8 cup of coconut oil and 2 cloves of garlic inside. Wait to simmer for 5 minutes. Leave it to cool down and drop several drops in the ear and lie for 5 minutes. You should repeat the method twice a day, until the pain disappears.
Just pour a few drops of olive oil in the painful ear. It will soothe the inflammation.
Apple cider vinegar
The benefits of ACV are widespread. It’s also beneficial for your ears. You should first heat some ACV. Then pour few drops in the painful ear, cover with a cloth, and lie down several minutes.
Ginger is also very beneficial for treating ear infections. You can prepare a ginger juice. Squeeze out one piece of fresh ginger and warm the juice. Just place four drops in the ear and the pain will disappear.
