Maintenance of the balanced pH levels in our body is the most significant homeostatic functions. We need to understand that we put our health at risk for disease and even death if fail in it.
The blood needs to stay in a pH range between 7.35 – 7.45 in order to stay in a state of health. People with too low or too high pH levels range are more prone to diseases and in some cases death. If acidic state – blood pH is below 7.35, like it is in most people, it allows cancer to thrive in their bodies. Increased metabolism of glucose and poor perfusion can lead to acidic external pH of a solid tumor.
Keeping normal acid-base balance-homeostasis, as one of the prevention measure to reduce the rate of cancer, enables your body to defend itself against as of cancer, as of other diseases.
To establish your pH level in your body you need to buy a testing kit from your local pharmacy or local health food store. These usually come in rolls and consists small set of pH balance test strips. By testing your saliva is the one strip and the other is your urine. In the morning after you get up is the best time do to the urine test. When testing your saliva, make sure you have not eaten or had drink within two hours. You need to wash your mouth with your own saliva, and then swallow. Make sure your saliva remains in your mouth and then place the strip on your tongue. Afterwards, compare the results against to the color chart that goes along with your strips. If the saliva pH is too low (below 6.5), it indicates that the body got rid of them through the urine. If the saliva pH is too high (over 6.8), it indicates that body suffers from excess gas, constipation and production of yeast, mold and fungus.
Correcting your pH if is not within the normal range
Your pH levels can be influenced by a different things, like the food you eat, unhealthy diet or diet too high in fatty foods. It’s very important to know what foods are alkaline and what are acid. It doesn’t mean that you need to give up eating meat and eat only raw vegetables given to the fact that any raw vegetable is alkaline and meats are acidic, but your portions of vegetables should be greater than your meat portion. Proper diet is essential to restore your body’s pH to homeostasis.
