This can be accompanied by pain, excessive gas (flatulence), frequent burping or belching, and abdominal rumbling or gurgles.
In most cases, the bloated stomach is caused by some unhealthy habits that we are making all the time. (2)
1. Properly food digestion
Undigested food is the main reason for intestinal gas. If you have gluten or lactose intolerance, probably you will have a problem to digest the food. It results with gas and discomfort.
Also, if your stomach doesn’t contain the necessary internal bacteria to maintain a healthy balance, it will result with problem in digestion. This condition can be caused by unhealthy diet, poorly absorbed carbohydrates and consuming antibiotics or medications.
2. Avoid foods that cause bloating and gas
In order to avoid bloating or gas, you need to choose the right food for you. There are a lot of foods that can cause bloating, gas, discomfort and even they can provoke a session of acid reflux.
For example fatty foods are able to stay longer in the intestinal system, because they are hard to digest. This is the reason why you are feeling uncomfortable and full.
Also, high fiber foods can cause the same effect:
- Dairy products
- Whole grains
3. Avoid behaviors that cause bloating, gas, and reflux
Some people avoid to brush their teeth and they are using chew gums instead. If you are doing this very often, it can be a reason for gasses.
You should also avoid eating a lot of candies and drinking carbonated drinks.
Note: If you can’t stop the gasses, you should visit the doctor.
