Bernando La Pallo recently turned 113 years. He is born in Brazil in 1901 and later he moved in Arizona. He accepted his father’s lifestyle guidance and didn’t blindly obtain the new ways of living.

Bernando is sure that longevity is connected to lifestyle habits and not with the genes. He was very interested in nutrition and healthy food he even went to study the culinary arts at the Sorbonne University in Paris. His father was a doctor and herbalist and always gave him advises to stay healthy and paying attention what he eat.

With his 113 years, he is still capable to take care of himself, and he tries to walk every day. He is still able to do crosswords and reading books. This habits are helping him to keep his mentally health. Also, he is still good in writing.

Bernando consumes organic vegetable and fruits and he avoids processed foods and red meats. He eats salmon about twice a week.

He suggest list of five super foods that he believes are the reason for his good health condition and longevity:

01. Garlic:

One the main substances that contains garlic is alicin. It has a lot of medicinal properties that helps to lower high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Garlic has ability to prevents atherosclerosis and many heart diseases. By eating it raw, you bring out the best of it.

02. Cinnamon:

03. Honey:

One of the best natural foods is raw honey. It helps our body to stay alkaline and it is a solid source of antioxidants. Honey is known like a super natural remedy and healthy sweetener.

04. Chocolate:

Dark chocolate has 70% cocoa content which is very healthy. Dark chocolate has a high amount of antioxidants and prevents cardiovascular diseases, also lowers the blood pressure and reduces stress.
